Electoral Commissioner pays courtesy call on PPRC

The Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chairperson of the National Electoral Commission (NEC), N’fah Alie Conteh, Commissioner Miata French and Commissioner Augusta Bockarie on Friday paid a courtesy call to the Chairman of the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) Hon Justice M.E. Tolla Thompson.

In his statement, Mr Conteh says the visit is to formerly introduce himself as the new Chairperson of NEC and to chat the way forward for continuous partnership with the Commission.

He also informed the Commission that he will be visiting political parties in their respective offices to foster a cordial working relationship with them.

In his statement, the Chairman of the PPRC, Hon Justice Tolla Thompson congratulated Mr Conteh on his new appointment as the Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chairperson of NEC. He also formerly welcomed him to the Commission as a Commissioner of the PPRC.

He further expressed the Commission’s willingness to partner with NEC and to also support NEC in its activities with political parties.

Justice Thompson says his doors are always open for consultations as the NEC Chairpersons is also a Commissioner of the PPRC.
