Sierra Leone’s Finance and Economic Development Minister, Dr. Kaifala Marrah and the Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Hon. Moijueh Kaikai arrived at the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah early Tuesday, 24th June, 2014.
Marrah who is also Sierra Leone’s Bank Governor at the Islamic Development Bank is in Saudi Arabia’s second largest city on the invitation of the Bank to attend its 39th Annual Meeting as well as other side events.
The Finance Chief will also join his colleagues at the prestigious Jeddah Hilton Hotel today to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bank. The event, according to a senior IDB official, will also be attended by a large number of representatives from regional and international financing institutions, Islamic banks, national development funds, contractors and consultants in member countries. The celebration will be held under the Patronage of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
Marrah is accompanied by Kawusu Kebbay, Director, Development Aid Coordination Office (DACO), Peter Sam-Kpakra, Head of Multilateral Projects Division and Alpha Kapri Bangura, Director, Public Investment Management (PIM) Unit in the Finance Ministry.
