The first  print edition of COCORIOKO was unveiled last Saturday during the Presidential visit to New Jersey where the paper is based.

President Ernest Bai Koroma, as the Fountain of Honor of Sierra Leone, was given the honor to be the first person to read the maiden print edition of COCORIOKO.  After that,  the paper was presented to the First Lady Mrs.Sia Nyama Koroma , Foreign Minister , Hon .J.B. Dauda , the Minister of Information and Communications , Hon. I.B. Kargbo,  the permanent Representative to the UN Ambasssador Shekou Toure , Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the U.S,  Mr. Bockarie Stevens, the Presidential and Public Affairs Minister , Hon. Alpha Kanu and other members of the government present in New Jersey. The print edition was timed to coincide with the Presidential visit to the newspaper’s base in New Jersey.

The Publisher of the paper, Leeroy Wilfred Kabs-Kanu, told President Koroma and officials that the mamagement of the paper has at last decided to establish a presence on the ground in Freetown , starting from the U.S. He said that the newspaper will have a rebranding element and will give lots of space to developmental journalism.  The print edition of COCORIOKO will be distributed all over the world and will help to erase the negative image being perpetuated against Sierra Leone in the international realm.
