A Diaspora led Charity Foundation Hope 4 Ebola Orphans in collaboration with Ripsta Culture GEDO and their partners Embracing Children Adoption Services ( ECAS) USA on Saturday 23rd July 2016 donated solar Lamps to over sixty less privileged Children including Ebola Orphans and their caregivers at Mo Wharf Community in the eastern part of Freetown.

Speaking on behalf of ECAS team of volunteers at the donation ceremony, the Vice Chairperson of ECAS Board of Directors, Robin Chance said they are currently in country on an Aid& Education trip, adding that they embarked on such journey because of God and the love they have for children. She said they got the solar lamps from Lumin Aid Labs in America. The Solar Lamps she added can provide comfort for the Children. ‘’ The lights can last for over fifteen hours and can be recharged in seven hours of sun light’’ she explained.
Mama Mayila Yansaneh a Co-Founder of Hope 4 Ebola Orphans said she will continue to intensify her effort in order to galvanize support for especially Orphans and other less privileged children in the country. ‘’ Even when am out of the country I keep think about vulnerable children in Sierra Leone, especially those in helpless communities like Mo Wharf’’ said Madam Yansaneh. She furthered that she is working on ways on how to provide better homes for vulnerable children in the country. She reiterated that she has been given a piece of land at John Obey community by H. E the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to build a Children’s village. She further asked all those present during the donation event to pray for her, so that she will be able to get the required supports that will enhance her realize her dream of building a state of the art children’s village.
Chief Pa Alimamy Komeh and Momoh .S Bangura thanked Mama Yansaneh and the team of ECAS Volunteer for their support. They maintained that Mama Mayila Yansaneh has been very helpful and supportive to the Moa Wharf Community. They also appealed to well wishers, donors, and other good will Ambassadors including ECAS Volunteers from USA to continue to support her and her organization in order for them to achieve their objectives. The donation ceremony climaxed with a conducted tour by the ECAS team of Volunteers to the make shift homes of some of the Orphans.
