President Bio reneges on his campaign promise to cut down wasteful spending

FOCUS ON SIERRA LEONE:11 AUGUST 2021.

Travelling on chartered plane ,staying in expensive hotels for a month with your family on a “private visit” according to the government own press release, including the daily perdiem received,at a time of hardship for many people in Sierra Leone is a pecuniary advantage, which constitute an abuse of office and a breach of trust since Julius Bio had pledged to the people of Sierra Leone, during his campaign that if elected as president, he would cut down on public spending.

President Bio has not only failed to keep public spending down, but his government has deployed innovative means of pinching more and more money from the public funds that benefit him and his cronies personally.

A breach of trust is a gross misconduct and no employer, in this case the Sierra Leone electorate, will keep someone in job in such circumstance. Yankuba Kai-Samba
