PRESIDENT KOROMA LEAVES FREETOWN ON STATE VISITS TO THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA AND THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has left Freetown today on state visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey on the kind invitations of the Saudi Monarch and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

 

President Koroma will hold bilateral discussions with his colleagues on a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to, the further strengthening of Sierra Leone’s diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey, trade, economic cooperation, and issues of regional and global peace and security.

His Excellency the President will also hold marginal meetings in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB Group) His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed bin Hamza Asaad Al Hajjar, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, and the Director-General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), His Excellency Dr. Sidi Ould Tah.

His Excellency the President and his entourage are expected back in Freetown on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017.
