President Koroma opens Labour Union Conference

President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma today Thursday 13th July 2017 officially opened the 7th Quinquennial Delegates’ Conference of the Sierra Leone Labour Congress (SLLC) under the theme “Repositioning the Labour Movement in the Socio-economic and Political Development of Sierra Leone” at the Miatta Conference Centre, Brookfields in Freetown.

“This year’s theme: “Repositioning the Labour Movement in the Socio-economic and Political Development of Sierra Leone,” the Congress has once again demonstrated forward-thinking, and the desire of workers, generally, not to entirely leave the transformation of this country in the hands of politicians,” he told the gathering of unionists.

President Koroma said that it was comforting that as a nation and as a Congress, “we have learned that dialogue and peaceful resolution of whatever differences should be central to our activities”.
