President Koroma Receives Three Awards

President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma has today (Monday 8 February 2016) received three set of awards from organizations for his tremendous contribution to peace, development and his people-centred leadership across the country during a presentation ceremony at State House in Freetown. The awards, received on behalf of the president, were presented by the Deputy Minister of Political and Public Affairs, Mr. Karamoh Kabba.

In his brief acceptance speech, the president described the awards as source of motivation for more work, while thanking Mr. Kabba for receiving the awards on his behalf.

THREE AWARDS

 

President Koroma was awarded as the National Peace Hero by the Masterpiece Organization for his invaluable contributions to peace in Sierra Leone. The second award by the Peoples Multicultural Network was conferred in recognition of President Koroma’s ongoing unprecedented developmental strides and transformation of the country since he assumed office. He was awarded as the best development-oriented president in Sierra Leone’s history.

Presenting the awards, Mr. Karamoh Kabba said he was privileged to have received on behalf of the president the most prestigious award during an award ceremony by the National Youth Council which recognised President Koroma as the Shield of Hope for the youth in 2015.
