President Koroma’s Assistant Attends Royal Reception in Saudi

Head of Sierra Leone’s 2016 Hajj to Saudi Arabia last week attended a special reception party in honour of Hajj Missions on the invitation of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud.
Speaking to newsmen after the ceremony at the Royal Mina Palace, in the outskirts of Mecca, Alhaji Sheka Sahid Kamara (aka Shekitoo) who also doubles as Special Assistant to His Excellency the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma on Social Affairs expressed sincere congratulations on behalf of President Koroma and the National Hajj Coordinating Committee to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz; to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince; to His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince and the Saudi Hajj Minister for the outstanding success of this years’ Hajj.

Alhaji Sheka, who has performed Hajj for the fifth time, lauded the efforts made by the Saudi government to extend the best possible services to the pilgrims. “It is amazing to see that Saudi Arabia, under King Salman and his predecessors, is rendering outstanding services to pilgrims. We see remarkable improvements in services and facilities every year,” he observed.
He noted that the plans and facilities witnessed by Sierra Leone pilgrims affirm the depth of the care given to the guests of the holy sites, adding that, the pilgrims completed this year’s rituals easily and serenely.
“The giant projects implemented – and which are still being implemented every year in Mecca and the holy sites display clear evidence of the good organization and management skills of the Saudi Government, which cannot be described with any other words except “perfect by all means,” Shekitoo added.
He also said that Hajj, the fifth pillar of Islam, promotes absolute submission to Almighty Allah, and is a symbol of the unity and solidarity of Muslims.
Shekitoo also had the opportunity to interact and discuss issues of mutual interest with other attendees, including, Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussein; Sudanese Vice President Hasabo Mohammed Abdul Rahman; Niger’s Prime Minister Brigi Rafini; Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Al-Mulki; Turkish Parliament Speaker Ismail Kahraman; Malian National Assembly Speaker Issaka Sidibé, Indonesian House of Representatives Speaker Ade Komarudin, Afghan Senate President Fazil Hadi Muslimyaar and other dignitaries from a number of Islamic Countries.
