Revs. Wilfred and Tigi Kabs-Kanu among many Sierra Leonean Ministers of the Gospel honored on Pastors’ Appreciation Day in the U.S.

Pastor Leeroy Wilfred Kabs-Kanu and wife, Pastor Tigidankay Kabs Kanu , were among many pastors from all over the U.S. honored and appreciated during the Pastors Appreciation and Awards Dinner staged by the Light of Christ International Fellowship in New Jersey last Sunday.

“It was indeed a grand ceremony and I had the privilege of meeting distinguished Sierra Leonean -born pastors and ministers doing a great job in the Vineyard of God in America” , Rev. Kabs -Kanu said after the resplendent program which was attended by hundreds of christians from different parts of the U.S.

In his keynote address , Evangelist Kolleh Samura said that the work of pastors was very difficult and thus it was very essential for pastors to have a special day like Sunday when they were honored and shown that they were appreciated. He said that the pastors being honored have distinguished themselves in their respective communities not only as preachers of the gospel. They have also helped to convert many people to christianity and they have also done a splendid job to mold lives and knit families and communities together.

He said that pastors should always be respected, honored and appreciated because they are helping to better the lives of communities. He also admonished the pastors to continue taking good care of their sheep.

Pastor Kolleh Samura commended the couple that they were doing a great job in New Jersey and deserved recognition and honor.

Evangelist and Pastor of the Light of Christ International Ministry , Rev. Kolleh Samura and his wife, Saffie Samura, a very essential component of his ministry, were also honored and appreciated last night. Here are they with their award. The Light of Christ Evangelist and wife hosted the program but they did not know that the congregation had a surprise for them too. Pastor Kolleh later made a power point presentation , demonstrating how his ministry was expanding in Sierra Leone and America , winning souls and establishing orphanages.

Associate Pastor of the Covenant Child World Ministry , Pastor Gibrilla Dumbuya , was also honored and appreciated during the Pastors Appreciation Dinner last night.

Bishop Sam Boyabei was one of the men of God honored during the Pastors Appreciation NIght yesterday. Bishop Boyabei is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Champions Temple International of New Jersey. He is seen here receiving his award.
