Sierra Leone Embassy in Washington DC has not sanctioned today’s planned meeting of protesting Sierra Leoneans

There are postings been circulated in the social media calling on Sierra Leoneans to assemble at the Sierra Leone Embassy at 1701 19^th Street, Washington DC to “protest the failure of the USA to provide lifesaving drugs for our people who are dying of this dreaded disease”. This meeting has been slated for 5pm today Sunday 10^th August 2014.

The embassy of Sierra Leone in the United States of America would like everyone to know that it has not sanctioned any such meeting at its premises at 1701 19^th street.
