SLPP Forces Police To Declare Curfew In Bo And Kenema

A dusk to dawn curfew has been imposed in Kenema City by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Eastern Region. This was as a result of skirmishes between SLPP supporters and the security forces: OSD & RSLAF. The situation is now calm as the streets are deserted. Mobile patrols are ongoing. Several arrests have been made. Charges will be proffered tomorrow and suspects will be arraigned before the Principal Magistrate in Kenema. Stay tune for the names of High profile people who have been arrested with offensive instruments such as knives.

I’ve just heard a news from Star Radio that there is a riot around shelmingo in Bo where NEC  noxes are found in one polling center. The AIG south confirmed that the boxes were found in that center where polling took place on the 17th. The AIG said they have recounted in the presence of all the stake holder and the results reflected the results that NEC pasted previously  in that center. Now the star radio reporter from bo said the youths are pelting stones at the police even though the police fired tear gas at the crowd. Fayia Amara Fayia also reported that tension is slowly mounting in Kenema regarding that issue.
