SRSG Zainab Bangura to brief UN on Report on conflict-related sexual violence before Friday’s Security Council Open Debate

Dear Colleagues, 

The UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Zainab Hawa Bangura, will attend the noon briefing on Thursday, 24 April to discuss the new UN report on conflict-related sexual violence.  The SRSG’s briefing will provide an opportunity to get information on the report ahead of the Security Council open debate on Friday, 25 April.  Details on the press briefing as well as the link to the report are available below and in the attached media advisory.  Please also find attached a fact sheet with an overview of the countries covered and the key findings and recommendations of the report.
