“We will continue to win elections “, President Koroma assures party stalwarts

 

cornerstone The Chairman and Leader of the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) President Ernest Bai Koroma Saturday 10th October 2015 assured party members that the APC will continue to win elections through the democratic process.He made this statement at the ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the regional headquarter of the party at a jam parked meeting along Makeni Magbuaraka highway, Bombali District.President Koroma in his remarks thanked the entire membership of the party for their contributions and commitments and quick response towards the construction and implementation of the Northern Regional office of the party.  He added that if such efforts are sustained, the party will be able to host programmes in the edifice.

He pointed out the APC is a family and believes in the settling and managing of issues through constructive and peaceful dialogue. “We are a family and we don’t want confusion in the party.” he noted.

He boasted that the APC will continue to win elections and called on all party members and stalwarts to engender the needed efforts and collaborations to continue to stay in governance.  As it stands, there is no opposition, amid thunderous applause by the attendees. He stated that such efforts of building the Northern Regional office, such efforts will be cascaded to other regions, towns and after the party would have stayed in governance for fifty years, it will be trickled down to chiefdom levels.

National Secretary General Ambassador Osman Foday Yansanneh in his opening remarks said the ruling APC Party has developed and transformed the country through the dynamic leadership of President Ernest Bai Koroma, adding that the APC has developed the country from all fronts more than any other political party in the history of the country. He said the party has mobilized funds and resources for the successful implementation of the project reiterating that such efforts will be replicated across the country.

Project manager Hon. Alimamy P. Koroma said that the date for the laying of the foundation stone of the party northern region headquarters will go down in history, noting that peace, unity, progress and development will continue on the path of the party. He said the complex will meet the standard of the leader and chairman, warning all to refrain from meddling with building materials meant for the intended purpose.

He promised that in the next ninety days the first phase of the project will be completed and added that structures and committees have been put together to ensure the successful implementation of the project. He appealed to members of the party to continue to sustain the momentum of mobilizing the funds for the successful implementation of the project.
