APC protest against large number of armed officers deployed around their party headquarters -2 days to Commissions of Inquiry

A large, scary and intimidating number of seriously armed officers of the Sierra Leone Police have been deployed around the APC party headquarter at Brookfield, Freetown, today Sunday 03 February 2019.

The reason for such an alarming and intimidating Police presence around the office of the main opposition on a Sunday morning remains unknown.

The general public and members of the party alongside our international and local stakeholders are hereby informed that the party did not receive any such notification from the SLP and efforts to reach the Police heirachy for an explanation for such a provocative and uncalled for deployment is proving futile.

Let me urge the general public and members to remain calm and go about their normal business and further reiterate that the party’s position in relation to the Commissions of Inquiries remains sacrosanct and that We are, nonetheless, unperturbed and cannot be intimidated.
