The 100 buses procured by the Government of President Ernest Bai Koroma are expected to be in freetown in the coming weeks,having left the People’s Republic of China. These buses,when arrive,shall help ameliorate the challenges faced in the transport sector especially in terms of public transportation.
The buses,manufactured by Zhongtong Buses,were,during the month of March, inspected by a Team of Three from the Sierra alone Roads Transport Cooperation,led by Bockarie Lewis Kamara. At the time of inspection, the buses were said to be inline with the “technical specification “
The Ministry of Transport and Aviation, SLRTC and the Sierra Leone Embassy in China have been working round the clock in facilitating their departure from China for Sierra Leone.
This latest development is seen as a plus to the already good image of the current government.
