How on earth can any sane person expect Samura Kamara to congratulate the thief who stole the Sierra Leone elections in broad daylight ?

HOW LUNATIC , INNOCUOUS AND NAIVE CAN WE BE IN SIERRA LEONE ? WHY ON EARTH SHOULD ONE EXPECT SAMURA KAMARA TO CONGRATULATE A CRIMINAL WHO STOLE AN ELECTION IN BROAD DAYLIGHT ?

I have always wondered what spirit really motivates our Sierra Leonean people to think and talk when it comes to politics. This Sierra Leone is a country so blessed that it is not only endowed with abundant mineral resources; it even has some of the finest minds in the world.

However, when you want to see the ugly side of the typical Sierra Leonean mentality , just watch their political thought processes.

Now, after displaying their absolute lack of a sense of integrity and civility by endorsing the blatantly criminal act performed by President Maada Bio when he stole the June 24, 2023 elections ( supporting him just because he is their tribesman or hails from their region or they are part of the cabal guzzling the criminal gravy being dished out by the Bios ), they have gone from the ridiculous to the insane by jumping on the APC Presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara for doing the right thing by congratulating newly – elected Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for winning an election that is free, fair and credible.

ELECTIONS THIEF MAADA BIO

While many of us are still unhappy with Samura Kamara for signing a communique of peace with an election thief who deserves to be in handcuffs and in jail, please permit us to ask what Samura Kamara did wrong by congratulating Pa Boakai, the legitimate winner of the Liberian elections .

Unless one has lost his/ her mind, there is no basis to compare the Sierra Leone and Liberian elections . The results of one were criminally put together and the Elections Commissioner, Mohamed Konneh, according to reports, forced to read it and declare President Bio winner with a loaded gun held to his head. On the contrary , the other was conducted according to law and the results were fairly and accurately computed and announced and Boakai declared the victor. To compare both elections is to compare darkness and light.

Therefore, if Samura Kamara did not congratulate the usurper Bio but did it for the legitimate winner Joseph Boakai , did he do anything wrong ? Name any international serious stakeholder and progress partner who congratulated Maada Bio !!! Neither the U. S nor Britain, nor most of the EU countries congratulated Maada Bio. They all rejected the Sierra Leone election and the U.S even withheld the goodwill $500 MCC Compact Grant and imposed travel sanctions . Maada Bio is frowned upon as a criminal and pariah. If these countries think so about Bio and did not congratulate him, why should the direct victim Samura Kamara do so ? Would that not have amounted to complicity with criminality ? Would that not have legitimized a bogus and criminal enterprise ?

There is no hypocrisy whatsoever involved in Samura Kamara congratulating Pa Boakai . You do not become a hypocrite by refusing to hail a thief while embracing an honest person . Your mind has to screwed up to call such a person a hypocrite.

Maada Bio , by his subterranean criminality he used to steal the June 24 elections , is no different from the thief being chased by market women down Sawpit Wharf. Bio is no different from the burglar who breaks into your home at night and steals what does not belong to him. What should he be congratulated for ? For taking undue advantage and robbing an innocent man and country ? Bio only got away with it for now because the generality of Sierra Leoneans are cowards and are not as bold as Liberians. I want to assure everybody that if Weah had committed the electoral felonies that the shameless and lawless Maada Bio perpetrated in Sierra Leone, Liberia would have been on fire.

Please note also that even though their elections were fair and credible, Liberians too have their own problems of political hostilities, divisions and disagreements. George Weah supporters are very angry for losing the elections. The CDC underrated the Unity Party flagbearer Joseph Boakai because of his age. They ridiculed and lampooned him to extremes at Facebook and social media. They were very confident of winning. It turned out that despite his age, Pa Boakai was the choice of majority of the Liberian people and he sprang a big surprise by winning. Therefore, Weah supporters are wroth, very annoyed. Therefore, they will not be happy with a presidential candidate of a neighboring country congratulating Boakai for winning the election. Trust me. Whoever in Liberia is angry with Samura Kamara is a Weah supporter . No sane Liberian will quarrel with Samura Kamara for congratulating Boakai because the Pa won the elections fairly and Samura did nothing wrong to congratulate him.

If George Weah had been in Samura Kamara’s position where he was criminally cheated of victory, he could have done the same thing . He would not have conceded or congratulated Boakai. Elections have been rigged before in Africa but what Maada Bio did in Sierra Leone with the June 24 elections defies comparison.

The people condemning Samura Kamara for congratulating Boakai while withholding acclaim for Bio are suffering from a political neurosis that does not have a name. It shows how deeply some Sierra Leoneans have sunk in the mire of political insanity. Their minds have become bent, debased , distorted and corrupted by partisan and tribal politics. They can no longer distinguish right from wrong . What a shame that partisan politics can make nefarious villains of good men and women and reduce them to unreasonable and senseless beasts that no longer see and appreciate honesty or righteousness once it goes against their political party.
