President Bio has told his appointed Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Charles Margai to be very tough in tackling lawlessness and indiscipline in the country.

The president gave this directive to Charles Margai Monday 16th as he takes oath of office at State House in the presence of the Vice President Juldeh Jalloh, other dignitaries.

Bio congratulated Charles Margai for accepting to serve in his cabinet and wish him well.

He expressed hope that the AG enhances the judiciary, to enable the institution work collaboratively with other state apparatus in the dispensation of justice for all without fear or favour.

Bio also called for a national commitment in dealing with burning issues and urged the new minister cause the proper dispensation of justice.

He recounts electioneering campaign of promises he made to the country, which he said his government will firmly deal with including issues of lawlessness and indiscipline, urging the AG and team work hard to curb such a societal menace.

He maintained, however, that in tackling lawlessness and indiscipline, the AG must ensure that justice is served to all in a free and fair manner, but appealed to other law enforcement agencies such as like the police work together in achieving the objectives.

In response, the new AG said he was pleased taking the oath to serve as Attorney General and Minister of Justice and thanked President Bio for giving him the opportunity to serve in such capacity.

He promised working with stakeholders of the justice sector in achieving the vision of the president in tackling lawlessness and indiscipline.

He said his approach will be cooperational rather than confrontational.
