The All People’s Congress (APC) in connection with the
Supreme Court ruling has in a press release stated
that the Hon. Chukuma Johnson is now the party’s
chairman and leader.
The release went on further to
state that the APC accepted the ruling of the Supreme
Court and has reverted to the 5th December 1995
constitution. “Hon. Ernest Bai Koroma who was the APC
presidential candidate in the 2002 elections remains
minority leader of the Sierra Leone House of
Parliament,” the release stated.
The APC in these
circumstances is in a special and emergency situation
and the relevant provisions of the 1995 constitution
are currently in operation. The party is calling on
its members to remain calm and be law abiding.
