*APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq, Calls for Unity, Peace, and Vigilance Against Electoral Fraud Ahead of the 2028 Elections*
*Dear Citizens,*
At the recent All People’s Congress (APC) Peace and Reconciliation Conference held in Waterloo on June 21, 2025, the National Secretary General of the APC Party, Comrade Lansana Dumbuya Esq., delivered a powerful and uncompromising address that resonated with party members and supporters alike. His speech centered on a rallying call for unity, vigilance against electoral fraud, and collective actions as the APC prepares for the critical 2028 general elections.
*Unity First: Healing and Reconciliation Within the APC:*
In his keynote address, the NSG underscored the urgent need for reconciliation within the party. He appealed to all members, especially those harboring resentment or caught in internal conflicts, to embrace forgiveness and unity, reminding everyone that internal division only weakens the party’s ability to win.
He directly addressed rumors alleging that APC executive members had accepted bribes from the ruling SLPP government, firmly rejecting these claims as baseless and damaging.
“We must forgive each other and move forward as one united APC family. Without unity, there can be no victory. Let us end the false accusations and focus on our shared mission for 2028,” he declared.
*Zero Tolerance for Electoral Fraud:*
In a bold and unequivocal statement, Comrade Dumbuya warned the ruling SLPP against repeating the electoral malpractices witnessed during the 2023 elections. He described the current administration as a “yuki yuki and dabaru government”, expressing the APC’s strong stance against any form of electoral manipulation.
“If Ngor Maada and the SLPP attempt again in 2028 what they did in 2023, na wan tin go be!” he declared emphatically, and got thunderous applause from the crowd.
*Responsible Campaigning: Focus on Issues, Not Division:*
Addressing the upcoming APC flagbearer race, the NSG called on all aspirants to conduct themselves with discipline and integrity. He emphasized that Flagbearers campaign messages should focus on the real issues facing the nation and should promote peace, unity, and reconciliation, whether on radio, television, or social media.
“The flagbearer contest must not divide us. Whoever emerges as the chosen leader must be embraced as the will of God/Allah. Let us give that person our full support,” he urged.
*Combating Misinformation and Social Media Sabotage:*
The NSG also tackled the growing spread of misinformation by certain bloggers and online commentators. He encouraged them to abandon divisive messages and instead contribute positively to the party’s mission of building a better future for Sierra Leone.
“Our leadership is working day and night for the good of the APC and the country. Let’s channel our energy into strengthening the party and protecting democracy,” he said.

The conference concluded with a shared sense of purpose and renewed determination. The APC reaffirmed its commitment to healing internal wounds, organizing strategically, and preparing for a decisive victory in the 2028 elections.
