Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has told me that the holding of the 5th Extraordinary OIC Summit on Palestine and Al-Quds Al –Sharif in the Indonesian Capital, Jakarta is very significant in making the world realised that Muslim countries are interested in finding the genuine and sustainable solution to the Palestine issue.
Dr. Samura Kamara is leading a five-man delegation arrived in Jakarta last night to represent His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma in the historic meeting slated for 6 – 7th March. The Foreign Ministry Chief is expected to join other world leaders on Monday, 7th March to deliver a statement on behalf of President Koroma.
The two-day summit commencing under the theme ‘United for Just Solution’ comes against the backdrop of unprecedented Israeli violations in the occupied city of Al-Quds, the West Bank and of the unjust blockade of the Gaza Strip, said the organizers.
