OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BIO : Tackle poverty in Sierra Leone

Dear Mr President Bio,

I am writing to you today about a very serious issue that our country is facing: poverty. Right now there are 6.5 million people in Sierra Leone that are living in poverty. It’s sad that Sierra Leone is said to be one of the greatest countries in West Africa, which was the anthem of West Africa at a particular time, but a large portion of our population lives in poverty. I see poverty all around me and others. I am hoping that you will help resolve thisvery serious issue.

Poverty is a very serious issue, but I believe that a plan can be made to help lower the number of people living in poverty in Sierra Leone. One thing that would definitely help is an increase in the number of jobs. If we produce more jobs, then more people will start working which would then result in them earning some income. If we can get more people working then the government won’t have to pay as much to support people which would also help out our country’s economy since the money that would’ve been given to help support certain people living in poverty could be spent on something else like paying off our country’s debt.

In conclusion, many people living in Sierra Leone are living in poverty. The good thing is that you can help change that. By coming up with a plan, I believe you can help reduce the amount of people that are living in poverty. I know this can’t happen overnight, but it would be great to see no one in our country living in poverty. Just imagine a world where no one lives in poverty, sounds good to me! Hopefully, I have given you a lot to think about. I just hope that one day we end poverty in our country. We need food and good water supplies in the whole country, not GTT or COI at this particular time in our country we need bread and butter issues.

Sincerely,

Junior Jay.
