There has been a flurry of activities since the All People’s Congress (APC) announced the date for its constituency, district and regional elections as well as the date for the election/selection of the party’s presidential candidate in the 2018 presidential elections.
On Thursday 14 September 2017, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma in his capacity as Chairman and Leader of the APC hosted at the Presidential Lodge all aspirants for the party’s nominee to succeed him at next year’s polls.
The purpose of the dinner is to engage with all aspirants for the party’s slot to contest the forthcoming presidential elections. He notes that when campaign starts he wants to see everyone behind him to win the next elections.
The APC, the Chairman and Leader said, must win the next general elections and therefore it’s expedient for the party to meet as a family to work out the roadmap for victory in 2018.
