SHAME ON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

The Leader of the Alliance Democratic Party ( ADP), Mr. Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray, has been in detention for nearly three years. He was accused of committing a bailable offence but bail was never granted to him and he has been languishing in detention for about three years. News is that he is very sick and could die in captivity, if nobody intervenes.
Why is the SLPP government keeping him in jail and not granting him bail or putting him on trial ? But our beef today is with the international community, the so-called moral guarantors of peace, stability, good governance and human rights in Sierra Leone.
UN , AMERICAN , BRITISH , EU, ECOWAS, AU, diplomatic representatives in Sierra Leone, does the long, unending and unlawful detention of this opposition politician, MOHAMED KAMARAINBA KAMARA not weigh on your conscience ?
Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray is not a criminal. He committed no crime. He was accused of a crime ,but that did not mean he was guilty. A man is not guilty of a crime until he had been tried by a competent court of law and found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt . If there is ever a reasonable doubt, the benefit goes to the accused. We must stop Leymbema Village Kamajor justice in Sierra Leone. Stop injustice in Sierra Leone.
You, the international community who are silent over the prolonged detention of Kamarainba, does it not bother your conscience that an opposition politician accused of a bailable offence has been kept in jail by President Maada Bio for about 3 years now without a just cause ? Why have you remained silent while this young man is slowly dying in prison , detained without trial and for no just cause ?
Everything you say about promoting good governance and human rights is meaningless , if President Bio can thumb his nose at civilized society and detain a man for 3 years all because he is an outspoken critic of bad governance .
Where is Amnesty International ? Where is Human Rights Watch ? Their mouths were big and yapping during APC rule. Why are they silent today ? What is President Bio giving you to eat ?
SHAME ON YOU ALL. IF ONE OF OUR CITIZENS COULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS UNDER YOUR VERY NOSES , WITH YOU SAYING NOTHING ABOUT IT, DO YOU REALLY DESERVE TO BE IN SIERRA LEONE ? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN OUR COUNTRY ?
