Sierra Leoneans call on the people for peaceful demonstration against SLPP Government on December 10

*If we sit back and allow Maada Bio and his SLPP cronies, who have been responsible for the brutal killings of our people, to escape unscathed after stealing our elections, we might as well wave farewell to democracy in Sierra Leone. It’s truly a disgrace that these so-called leaders think they can play us for fools. Enough is enough.*

*This is the moment for every Sierra Leonean to rise up, united in our resolve against the corrupt politicians who have not only betrayed our trust but have also callously stripped us of our dignity and democracy. We can no longer remain silent while these manipulators churn out lies and deceit to maintain their grip on power. The time for complacency is over; we must show them that we will not allow our rights to be trampled upon any longer.*

*Let’s rally together, every Sierra Leonean from every walk of life—whether you are a student, a worker, a parent, or a leader in your community, teachers, imams, pastors and civil society organisations. It’s time to come out with fierce determination and demand that the Electoral Commission (ECSL) and SLPP produce the disaggregated data from the elections. If they refuse to cooperate and show us transparency, then we must call for fresh elections. It’s our right and our duty to ensure that our voices are heard and that the integrity of our democracy is restored.*

*We owe it to ourselves, to our fallen heroes, and to future generations to take a stand now. Let’s make it clear that we are done playing games—this is about our future, our sovereignty, and the kind of nation we want to build. Together, we will not be silenced, and we will reclaim our democracy.*

*A PIECE OF ADVICE FOR CONCERNED SIERRA LEONEANS PLANNING TO DEMONSTRATE ON DECEMBER 10TH, 2024.*

I am reaching out to my fellow Sierra Leoneans, especially my brothers and sisters in the struggle, to unite for a peaceful demonstration. We aim to call on the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Mende police to support our cause as we urge the Sierra Leone Electoral Commission (ECSL) to release the *Disaggregated Data* of the presidential election held on June 24th, 2023. We must stand together to demand transparency and accountability in our electoral process, ensuring that our voices are heard and respected. Let’s gather peacefully to express our concerns and advocate for our democratic rights. Furthermore, should the SLPP police deny us our constitutional, democratic, and basic fundamental human rights to demonstrate, we must consider an alternative: *a “Civil Disobedience or Sit-at-Home Demonstration.”*
