Tripartite Dialogue fails to begin as opposition APC blames SLPP

PRESIDENT MAADA BIO : NOT SERIOUS ABOUT THE CROSS-PARTY TRIPARTITE DIALOGUE ?

The much-awaited Tripartite Cross-Party Committee dialogue and Elections Review that the international community is depending on to break the political impasse in Sierra Leone between the ruling SLPP and the APC , failed to start yesterday.

Leaders of the APC, former Bank Governor, Dr. Kaifala Marah and former Chief Minister Dr. Richard Konte , in separate tweets published below, blamed the ruling SLPP  for failing to show up for the start of high-stakes committee proceedings.

However, the Deputy Minister of Mines , who doubles as Secretary General of the SLPP, Mr. Napoleon Koroma , responded that the new United Nations Resident Representative , who will be Co-Chair during the dialogue, had not assumed office yet.
