All Peoples Congress (APC) Spokesman, Alpha Kanu Tuesday claimed that his party’s leader Ernest Koroma has won the presidential run-off election.

Kanu made this disclosure during a press briefing at his party’s office on Hannah Benka-Coker Street.

“Ernest Koroma will no longer be addressed as leader and presidential candidate of the APC but rather the President-elect of the Republic of Sierra Leone,” he said.

“Independent of the National Elections Commission (NEC) results tally Centre, the APC has its own Hi-Tech Results Collation Centre (RCC) manned by experts in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, etc. Data input to the centre comes from the over 12,000 Polling Agents the APC deployed all around the country except Kailahun,” Kanu said.

Kanu claimed that there was a 100% voter turnout in Kailahun district, adding that all the voters voted SLPP.

“Total number of votes received is 1,263,004 is 63%, of which APC scored 776, 557 and SLPP scored 486, 447. The difference is 290,110 votes,” he said adding that the total votes from Kailahun, Pujehun and Bonthe 251, 064.

“For the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) leader, Vice President Solomon Berewa to close the gap between him and Ernest Koroma, he needs 100% of the votes in Kailahun, Pujehun and Bonthe districts and he also still needs to borrow 39,046 votes from Kenema district,” Kanu noted, adding that where is the ray of hope for Berewa and the SLPP?

The APC mouthpiece further stated that his leader only needs less than 300,000 votes to cross the finish line in the presidential race.

“We believe that by the end of tomorrow, he will have crossed the rubicon. Then, ladies and gentlemen, Hon. Ernest Bai Koroma will no longer be addressed as leader and presidential candidate of APC, but rather as the president-elect of the Republic of Sierra Leone,” Kanu noted.

However, SLPP’s Spokesman, Victor Reider said, “this is a tenuous declaration especially so when the election results are not yet to be finalized.” Reider maintained that the APC Spokesman is committing treason by declaring Ernest Koroma president.
