There seems to be a myriad of grumbles among many SLPP supporters. This cannot be disconnected from the fact the recent cabinet appointments do not favour many.
In Sierra Leone, the tradition has been that supporting one to attain political leadership means, one is to later appoint them in key positions. Not just any kind but one that can bring huge financial turnover, power, respect and control.
Any attempt to change this would meet stiff resistance. This is exactly what is happening in the country. President Bio’s new appointment has brought out bitter faces among major supporters of the party.
The majority of the appointees are new and non-card carrier members. Some commentators say they are appointed on the basis of their ability to deliver
But this does not augur well with senior party members especially those who have been very close to him. Many have now resulted to throwing unwanted insinuations against the president.
