The opposition All People’s Congress ( APC ) is fiddling while Sierra Leone is burning. The party is neither functioning as an ideal opposition nor is it holding the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party ( SLPP ) dictatorship to account. Because of the lack of vibrancy and unseriousness of the APC, President Maada Bio is getting away with everything in Sierra Leone.
One other shock that the tyrannical and lawless President Bio might be cooking in Sierra Leone is hijacking and rigging the next election billed for 2028, just as he did in 2023.
The APC is busy fighting and destroying itself. The party , as if cursed, is not even making any serious attempts to ensure the implementation of the 84 recommendations of the Agreement of National Unity signed by the SLPP and the APC. Only the devil knows how this direction – lacking and spineless APC plan to win any other election in Sierra Leone after the criminal structures Maada Bio has set up to ensure that he rigs every election held in the country.

To truly restore public trust in the Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) in Sierra Leone , We must bring pressure to bear on government. We must take bold actions: dissolve and reconstitute the Electoral Commission and the Political Party Registration Commission (PPRC).
Without this crucial step, the much anticipated constitutional review and the pending Electoral Process could lead to outcome that are even more troubling than those we witnessed in 2023.
Now is the time for decisive change to ensure a brighter and more transparent future for our hard-earned democracy.
