APC cannot afford luxury of internal division

*THE APC MUST REASON TOGETHER, AND REJECT THE LUXURY OF DIVISION, FOR WE HAVE NO TIME FOR ENDLESS INTERNAL INFIGHTING*

*Mixer🕋Commented*

It is extremely sad to see *the dissatisfaction expressed by some comrades regarding the PPRC’s press statement* temporarily extending the Executive’s mandate to manage the party’s affairs pending the court’s decision. *This reaction raises important questions about consistency and fairness within our party*.

When the mandates of *Dr. Samura Kamara and Hon Chericoco came to an end*, it was only the members of the *Electoral Justice (EJ)* who openly voiced dissatisfaction *specifically regarding the leadership’s refusal to allow for an extension while matters of electoral justice remained unresolved*.

Today, however, some of the *very same comrades who once supported the leadership’s decisions are now pushing hard to dismantle the status quo they previously embraced*. That inconsistency is difficult to justify.

For my part, *I genuinely support the current Executive’s mandate to remain in office and complete the outstanding elections, not as a favour, but as a practical necessity*.

Let me also offer this straightforward advice to Chairman Yansanneh. *What no comrade should ever accept is any attempt to tamper with our March 2022 Constitution unlawfully, whether by creating new positions or filling vacant posts at any level of the party without due process*.

That *is where we must draw the line*. But a *temporary, regulated extension to ensure continuity and fairness is not the same thing as constitutional violation.*

If *we are serious about building the party and preparing for the 2028 elections*, why *oppose the Executive continuing in office now especially when no one challenged the PPRC 6 months extension directive in court at the time it was issued?*

Let us *accept this temporary extension in good faith and focus our energy on finding practical solutions to complete the remaining elections fairly and on time*.

That is *my genuine position grounded in reality of our current internal challenges*
