Just as we are about coming to terms with the death of Comrade Ambassador Henry Macauley, our party, the All People’s Congress (APC) is again struck by the devastating news of the passing of another Comrade, Haja Afsatu Olayinka Ebishola Sa Kabbah. Her death was reported on Wednesday, 23rd March 2023 in Freetown.
Hon Haja Afsatu Kabbah served as Minister of Energy, Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources and as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Ernest Bai Koroma Bai administration. She was a dedicated and selfless member of the APC whose contributions to the party and Sierra Leone will forever be remembered. Prior to her Ministerial and Ambassadorial appointments, she was Member of Parliament in the Western Urban District.
A mother and sister to all, Hon Haja Afsatu Kabbah was an embodiment of strength, courage and perseverance. She will be sorely missed by the general APC membership at home and abroad.
The party extends its sincere condolence to the family of our late comrade as we commiserate with with them in this hour of grief.
The Party is in consultation with the family regarding the funeral arrangements which will be communicated in due course.
May her soul rest in peace.
