Thank you for your compliment about my article, which was delayed due to problems with the forum’s increasingly problematic delivery system.
You are not the only one that has been stymied by the erroneous “error” message the system generates which prevents a perfectly non-offensive writing from being posted here.
I have found an unavoidably inefficient but effective way to overcome this problem, while the system administrator and Kabs hopefully act sooner rather than later on my one week-old report about it.
What I do is write my intended posting on a separate file and then copy and paste it to Cocorioko one line at a time. After each paste, I click the “Preview Message” button to see if there would be an error message. [For example, I have found out that the word “more” generates a spurious “error” message]. If there is, I keep pasting fewer and fewer words until I get no error message. Then I continue cutting and pasting until the last click of “Preview Message” results in no “error” message. I then send the message.
Obviously, the best solution is for the system administrator to fix this avoidable problem.
I hope the above information is helpful, because it is the views of sober S/Leoneans like you that need to be heard if the image of our country and its people is to change for the better.

We are advocating for tolerance on the forum. To show that each and everyone of us are important to the “total involvement for higher heights” of this forum, lets take a look at a meeting that members of a carpenter’s tools were having :
Brother hammer was presiding over the meeting. Several of those present at the meeting, suggested that brother hammer leaves the meeting because he was too noisy (like the Chief in exile ). “If I leave this meeting, brother screw must leave too”, said brother hammer. Why ? Because you have to turn the screw around and around to accomplish anything.
Brother screw than said “if you want me to leave the meeting, I will leave, but sister Plane must leave too. WHY ? Because all her work is on the surface, her work has no depth.
Sister plane responded by saying ” if I leave, sister Rule will also have to leave”. WHY ? Because she is always measuring folks as though she is the only one who is right all the time.
Sister Rule then promptly complained against brother sandpaper. “You should leave too because you are

If you destroy a bridge and the other side remains a vital and necessary part of the whole, be sure you have a way to get to the other side.
Mind you, you dont have to swim necessarily. You can use a boat.
Destroying the bridge presupposes a deliberate act. The act can be a senseless one or a rational one. If a rational act then it is wise to carryout the act after making plans for alternative means to get to the other side.

Point of correction;The Railway was not abandoned for MB buses.
When the railway was phased out in Sierra Leone,The fleet of buses at RTC comprised of Fiat,Leyland(including double deckers)and some antique Albions.
Mercedes Benz Buses I believe supplemented the RTC fleet afterwards through a deal that was brokered by Desmond Luke in his capacity as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to West Germany.

It is prudent that you learn how to swim first and then secure a boat if you are planning for life on the other side.
