COGITATIO —An international media watchdog organization promoting open access divulgation of scientific knowledge and “open-source knowledge benefiting researchers, policy makers and society in general ” , has rated Cocorioko the third best media website in Africa .
I AM VERY PROUD OF THIS INTERNATIONAL DISTINCTION. THIS RECOGNITION comes at the heels of two other distinctions —from the BRADT International Travel Guide that Cocorioko is Sierra Leone’s highlight in the internet and the NIGERIA MASTERWEB which declared Cocorioko one of most favorite websites in Nigeria.

I want to thank God for making me recognized and honored in the international world. God gave me the knowledge and the efforts that have brought me this international recognition.

I am indebted to my former teachers in primary and high school like Messrs Kaye, Sannoh , C.L. Bendu and Mamas Paris , Keili and Lansana of CE School , Bo and Henry M. Sheku, Lumumba Rogers, Ben Morrison, Pa. Deane, Pa. Sellu, Father Lambe, Father O’Dwyer etc. of CKC and Professors Eustace Palmer , Cecil Blake, Peter Dumbuya and Alusine Jalloh, as well as peace corps who might not want their names mentioned here. Many of them may not support what I write today in politics but one way or the other things they said about me or did to enlighten me helped to inspire me.
I will not forger my elder brother Max Kanu, my wife, Tigidankay, and kids and some of my FBC Auradicals colleagues and indeed all my APC family.
The BRADT International Travel Guide also declared that COCORIOKO is Sierra Leone’s highlight on the internet. I am very proud of all these distinctions , considering how much people, who do not support my political views, oppose and antagonize me . But in a democracy, you can expect that. - These recognition have further inspired me and I will make some wide ranging reforms in the coming months to make the paper more balanced and to have the viewpoints of all sides heard .
