In a bid to complement the effort of the Government of Sierra Leone in addressing the Issue of providing quality and affordable health care for the citizens of Sierra Leone, the Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia, an International non-governmental organization on Friday 9th May 2014 commissioned a complex which comprise of a Clinic, Water Well and Mosque for the Sembehun Nes-tucker Community Bagurah Chiefdom, Moyamba District.
In his keynote address, the Country Director of Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia Mr. Abdul Ahmad Daramy cited several verses in the Holy Quran that emphasized the importance of building the house of Allah, providing quality health for the people and safe drinking water. He catalogued his organization’s humanitarian service which includes providing scholarships for students to study in Sudan, providing assistance to orphans, help needy homes, constructing water wells and erecting an Islamic Complex. He called on the community to sustain the project by maintaining the complex.
Mr. Daramy thanked the Government and people of Sierra Leone for providing favorable atmosphere for International NGO’s to operate in the Country by helping in complementing the effort of Government in meeting the needs of the people. He assured the community of his organization’s support in implementing more projects in the community provided they continue to support the sustenance of the project. He disclosed plans to commission the same project in other communities and called on the other nineteen Chiefdoms to make good use of the facility.
Mr. Daramy disclosed that this is his first project since his appointment as the new Director of the organization and on behalf of his boss the Regional Director, he welcome Paramount Chief Robert Caulker Belelo Papapwie 111 to the religion of Islam and assured him of his organization’s support at all times.
In his remarks, Paramount Chief Robert Caulker thanked His Excellency President Ernest Bai Koroma for his International Cooperation to complement his agenda for prosperity and thanked all those who in diverse ways assisted them in having such a complex in the Bagura Chiefdom Moyamba District, adding that the structure is not for his chiefdom alone. He encouraged the audience that since man’s time on earth is very short and has to return to God they should be in hurry to serve Allah alone and expressed his happiness to be a Muslim at this moment in his life so that he will attain heaven at the end.
Reverend Anthony Pessima, Deputy Chairman Moyamba District Council expressed his gratitude and appreciation of the Council to the Organization, as the Council appreciates more development in the district as it is their responsibility to bring development to the people of the district as and look for bigger things in their chiefdom. He commended the hospital’s good health care service and thanked the Paramount Chief for giving up his life to serve God at all times.
Reverend Pessima preached that God is looking for those that submit themselves to Him alone and quoted the Holy Bible Luke 15:7 which read “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent”. The heavenly angels are jubilating because it is joy to win a soul to serve God he stressed.
In his welcome address, District Chief Imam, Alhaji Alpha Worneh expressed his gratitude to Allah and the Munazamat Al-Dawa Al-Islamia for completing their trust by implementing the project in the Moyamba District. He thanked the donors Halel Saied An ‘am of Yemen for donating the Mosque, Sabihee family inheritance, Ibrahim Sabihee of Qatar for donating the Health Center and Khalid Muhsein of Qatar for donating the Water Well he pray that Allah will accept their intention and enable them to provide more for the people of Sierra Leone.
