December is a romantic month in Sierra Leone. The month is special because it is the festive season, when Sierra Leoneans celebrate Christmas. December is often characterized by beautiful sunny weather during the day and glorious moonshines at night. But nowadays , it is becoming customary to have heavy rains during the festive season because of climate change.

Yesterday, at Calabar Town in Freetown , it rained cats and dogs and many people were soaked by the pouring rain.
