He was a mentally – disturbed man with a difference. He was very intelligent and was a political activist and public debater, often featured on social media in political debates with the public for which the dictatorial SLPP Maada Bio- led government caused local and international outrage two years ago when they arrested Blacker for critiquing the president and his government . Blacker was detained at the Pademba Road Prisons and even charged to court – An action that brought President Bio and his government intense criticism all over the world.
BLACKER WAS DISCOVERED DEAD IN AN UNCOMPLETED BUILDING
Before that, a widely circulated video on social media showed a very pitiful spectacle of the mad man being beaten, kicked and brutalized in public by SLPP supporters for criticizing their party and government ( SEE THE SICK VIDEO BELOW ).
BLACKIE finally died last weekend, after many hoax reports of his passing. A man who lived his life on the streets, Blacker had been suffering want and lived on the mercies of good samaritans and lately had been ailing from an unspecified illness that reduced him to mere bones. He was often seen on video pleading for help.
THE DEAD BODY OF BLACKER
Sierra Leoneans took the occasion of Blacker’s death to accuse President Bio and the SLPP Government of contributing to his death through their oppression , harassment and imprisonment of him for his political views. They also said that the public neglected Blacker in his plight.
