SIERRA LEONE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC LEAGUE
P.D.L.

PUBLIC RELEASE STATEMENT:

DAKAR, SENEGAL.
RE: APC CABINET IS TOTAL DEVIATION FROM NATIONAL
ETHOS.
——————————————————–

The Sierra Leone People’s Democratic League (PDL) has
read with utter shock, frustration and disappointment
on the composition of members of the President Ernest
Bai Koroma’s led Cabinet Ministers in Sierra Leone.
The only conclusion we can draw out of the present
political rumblings that has exposed the underbelly of
the APC clique and the macabre struggle for tribal
domination and control of government machinery and
national coffers in the present political dispensation
is that, Sierra Leone is dangerously moving towards
the dark era of the Akutay (Limba organ) kleptomania.
The foregoing raises the question: what is the problem
with Sierra Leone? What are the primary factors
militating against the country’s development and
progress? What must Sierra Leoneans do now to ensure a
reversal of the sorry state affairs? What other steps
Sierra Leoneans must take to produce a leadership that
is not tied to the apron string of neo-colonialism,
settlers-colonialism, imperialist rape and ethnic
hegemony? A leadership that is serious, patriotic,
god-fearing and ready to face the realities of the
situation in the country.

Sierra Leoneans rebelled against the former ruling
SLPP government of the dictator Tejan Kabbah, hoping
that President Ernest Bai Koroma would exhibit a sense
of responsible leadership model, devoid of the
arrogant assumption that a preordained cabal must
exclusively continue to decide on the future direction
of Sierra Leone, once the APC takes control of the
leadership of the country. But their hope and
expectations have become empty dreams with the naming
of a Cabinet that illustrates the so-called “monkey
wrench” hypothesis, to wit, that when a suffering,
frustrated, degraded and dehumanised people are about
to effect a patriotic self-redeeming move, foreign
detractors will use domestic traitors, stooges and
willing tools to stultify the move.

This is the case of the Ernest Bai Koroma’s led APC
Cabinet, which is well-arranged to suit the tastes and
designs of Western imperialism. No wonder why Zainab
Bangura and other members of the current cabinet
recently visited London to assure former colonial
Masters, APC loyalty; and why the British reciprocated
with assurances of support to ensure the success of
the so-called APC government. Similar meeting was also
held with the murderer of the Iraqi people at the
White House in Washington. To the PDL, the meeting in
Washington was not unexpected knowing fully the
political game played by the US based National
Democratic Institute (NDI) in the Christiana Thorpe’s
illegal elections in Sierra Leone. This comes to the
conclusion that the Ernest Bai Koroma’s government is
an extension of US imperialism in Africa.

All these bring to question, President Bai Koroma’s
much vaunted national reconciliation, unity and new
dawn in Sierra Leone; and raises question marks across
the country regarding the President intentions.

We, of the Sierra Leone People’s Democratic League
therefore, vehemently oppose to the composition of the
current Sierra Leonean Cabinet as a well-wrapped
political vengeance; resurface of APC old politics of
ethnic hatreds, malice and grudges; unjust, anti-peace
and stigmatisation of Sierra Leone’s baby democracy.
In our view, we say that Sierra Leone under Ernest Bai
Koroma led APC is heading towards the fatal grip of
neo-colonialism. We see Mr. Koroma as another stooge
of imperialism who is only admired by traitors like
Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma, to work for the
imperialists against his/her people. He therefore
lacks the necessary democratic tutelage for the job of
President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces
of the Republic of Sierra Leone at this crucial moment
of our nation’s history.

The PDL has no agenda or plans that are hostile to the
peace and stability of Sierra Leone. We believe, as
every one does that it is only in peace that Sierra
Leoneans can go about their daily businesses across
the country. It is only in a spirit of patriotism and
love for one another that Sierra Leone can extricate
itself from its current mess. What we say, and will
continue to say is that, the structure of the current
APC Government does not reflect the nation’s interest.
On the contrary, it manifests a Northern clique and
exposes further, the Party’s greed, deceit,
ethnic-propelled, ethnic-oriented and anti-Sierra
Leone motivated agenda.

As concerned Sierra Leoneans, committed to rid Sierra
Leone’s body polity of power usurpers, parasites and
political prostitutes; politics of god-fatherism,
opportunistic individualism, crass individualism,
opulence and immorality, we, of the PDL have resolved
to lead a national campaign for the formation of a
Parallel Government outside the APC Kleptomania, to
rid the system of the scheming emperors and rogues
lurking behind the curtain. It would be the goal of
the proposed Parallel Government to wrest our
democracy.

In respect to this, the PDL has advised its Party
cadres across Sierra Leone to seek the support of like
minded Sierra Leonean individuals and groups, and
God-willing, the proposed Parallel Government would be
put in place soon. The struggle must now intensify to
elevate Sierra Leone’s body polity from the gutter of
base rude tribalism, nepotism, intrigue and mafia cult
to that of political decency, progress and dignity.
What we need in Sierra Leone at this crucial moment is
a leader who could champion the struggle for a
complete change of the rotten system or status quo
into real freedom; and for achieving stability,
progress and respect for all Sierra Leoneans in the
comity of nations.

Sierra Leoneans no longer cherished leaders who have
not abandoned the sacred narrow path and make
themselves vampires. The PDL does not recognise a
government in Sierra Leone, which is linked to
imperialist rape in Africa. Besides, the Ernest Bai
Koroma’s led government was borne out of fraudulent
and unconstitutional arrangements, and therefore,
cannot be described as democratic.

We conclude by warning APC gurus not to run the
domestic affairs of Sierra Leone as US satellite in
the region.

Never heard of this group, the People’s Democratic League (PDL). By the way, why are you headquatered in Senegal? Are you legit or just a bunch of kooks? However, your rants about U.S imperialism are so funny. Gave me a good belly laugh. I thought radical politics in Africa ended with the demise of Thomas Sankara and the limousine revolutionary himself, Joseph Kabila. Very entertaining stuff though.
