Fear and panic griped Hon. Justice Patrick Hamilton when he learnt yesterday 6th September, 2007 that some members of the Revolutionary United Front fighters who were found guilty of various offences by the High Court and sentenced have been set free by the government of the ruling party.
It was not only the Presiding Judge, Mr. Patrick Hamilton that developed fear of the new found freedom granted to the ex-RUF fighters quietly yesterday morning, but even prison officers and some sections of the public that can still remember the cruelty perpetuated on them by this group for which they were standing trial and found guilty.
Prison officers at the Pademba Road Prison were astonished when early yesterday morning they were informed that the remaining ex-fighters of the RUF are taking their exit “We were shocked upon hearing the announcement” A prison officer remarked, and questioned, “On what ground were these ex-fighters granted freedom?”
What also remained unexplained by the government was the reason for the release of the ex-fighters on the date scheduled for the peace march between the two candidates of the SLPP and the APC, Hon. Ernest Koroma and Solomon Berewa.
The ex-RUF fighters released include Black Jesus, Hassan Foday Fofanah, Mohammed Kanded, alias Crazy Med of Clarkson house, Tamba Mattieu, Gina Brima Joseph, Ibrahim Blango Augustine Bongo,Sidie Koroma Ibrahim Koroma, alias Isatu, Alhaji Conteh Momoh Rogers, Mohammed Koroma and Bailor Jalloh. They were found guilty of conspiracy, larceny to rape and robbery with aggravation and serving sentence from two to ten years

This is a big thank you to the entire Cocorioko staff for an excellent work during this elections period in our beloved country. Policy makers and other Foreigners get there information about Sierra Leone from this medium.
Rev. kabs keep up the good job and do not listen to ant distractors. On the issue of the runoff which is slated for tommorrow, I can say the SLPP is goin to win, they might not win it fairly but my gut feeling is telling me it is going to be rigged. i got to this conclusion because of recent moves made by the SLPP, like preventing Hon. Ernest Bai Koroma and entourage from campaigning in the south/east of the country. They (SLPP) have mounted a massive tribalistic campaign in the South /East by demonizing the APC. It is really sad because our people in those regions of the country are not critical thinkers to read between the lines.
All I can say to the APC and its supporters is the SLPP is going to mess up big time again. Let them reatin Ernest Koroma because his personality has got more voters for the party, I watched him on youtube and he is the right person for that country presently. I am sure they will win the next elections in the first round. On the other hand, the SLPP is going to be in turmoil by the next elections because the party base do not really want Solomon Berewa and he will want to cling on the the leadership, that will cause cracks within the party. Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal stayed in the opposition for over ten years, though the APC will not be for that long, let them just be patient and preserve our hard won peace.
Let me say this again with the likes of the Kailahun district mafia directing the operations of the SLPP, they have sinister plans for this runoff.
Thanks.

Sir, I respectfully disagree with you that SLPP is going to win the election. Winning an election and rigging and election are quite different things. I however agree with you that SLPP is going to rig the election, but that will bring their downfall because the only way they can do that is in kailahun. Check how many registered voters in kailahun and the most important thing is when the votes from kailahun are more than the registered voters, then we cannot allow those results. So it will be very difficult except with the help of NEC which is unlikely.

Few weeks ago I was informed that John Benjamin and others have given money to the people of Kailahun, especially ex Kamajors to regroup and disrupt any voting activity that will favor the APC/PMDC during the run-offs. One of the SLPP supporters told me that it was a propaganda news. Unfortunately, if what cocorioko is reporting is true, then my information was credible. If my source is credible, the other part of that is likely true. According to source, the SLPP have shipped a lot of ex-Kamajors to the North and West especially freetown to cause chaos during the run-offs.
Do these people believe they can succeed? The SLPP are doing more harm to them selves than good. If these guys do not allow voting to take place in Kailahun, what do they expect NEC could do? Throw those votes away. And if those votes are cancel who loose?

I phoned yesterday to Makeni, and guess what, two trucks were intercepted by the police and found they contained several arms, ammunitions and some chainsaws.
The chainsaws were used as a camouflage to disguise the arms and ammunitions. These individuals have been locked up untill end of elections would then be conveyed to Freetown.

Fellows,
People will once again come out tomorrow to defy the odds and speak as loud as they can. Politicians and campaigners using tribalism to fan haterd in order to win the run-off will once again be disappointed.
Whether Northerners vote for the APC on tribal grounds, or the South-East votes for Mendes on tribal grounds, none of them will be doing good for the country.
Because we all know that no one region or one tribe can ever rule that country without the others, it should be time for us to start working against tribalism instead of using it to make people or regions become bias against one another.
See more of tribalism being used in the run-off campaign at the link below

If only we have people like you in that country, we will be fine. There is not going to be a winner in this election if electorates are voting purely on regional or tribal basis.
The OneSaloneNews site is however a ONE MAN SHOW.Morie has a personal issue to deal with.

Thanks,
Morie is Toegondoe. But Morie’s objective is to bring out the truth to the people. Hold people responsible for their actions. Demand accountability from the leaders. Speak truth to power. tHAT’S THE OBJECTIVE OF THAT WEBSITE.
You will find out that this is lacking in that country, hence the leaders get away with whatever they do, and the innocent people are left to suffer because there are no others speaking on their behalf.
Morie tries to do all that. However, you and everyone is free to submit an article and rest assured that it can be published. It is a new website, not yet in the league of Cocorioko. But give it time.
