WHY WE HAVE SUSPENDED OPERATIONS TEMPORARILY UNTIL WE GET A GOOD HOSTING COMPANY

COCORIOKO, your biggest and most widely read Sierra Leone newspaper has not been published for a few weeks because we are looking for a good and reliable hosting company.
Since we started publishing in 1999, we have never had a hosting company that periodically charges us extra for more storage at an exorbitant cost . We paid a flat rate monthly or yearly ( about $500 or so dollars ) which covered storage as well and er had endless and limitless storage.
Our present no Hosting company did not inform us at the beginning that they were entirely different from other hosting companies. They charged us virtually the same for the year ( About $500 ) but three years into our business with them, they have suddenly started charging us extra for storage. Only 5 months ago, they asked us to pay extra for storage which was an additional $ 200 added to our yearly bill. We paid it and thought it was over but suddenly after a few weeks , they told us again that we had exhausted 90% of our storage and we must buy more space . If we pay them, they will keep doing it after another few more weeks and by the time we know what is happening, we would be spending over $1,000 just on periodically buying space , not counting our yearly $500 charges, which would be separate. The cost of hosting will therefore keep going up every 5 months , going beyond what anybody pays for hosting. No hosting company has ever operated this way with us or other newspapers we know.
We consider this a big ripoff and unacceptable to us because that is not the way we have been doing business with other hosting companies. We have therefore decided to look for another company. During this process, we have had to suspend all operations on this website.
We ask you all to be patient with us until we solve this problem in the coming weeks and resume publication .
