Freetown, Tuesday 28 November, 2017 —The Right Hon. Sheku Badara Bashiru Dumbuya, Speaker of the Sierra Leone House of Parliament subscribed to the oath of office as acting president of the Republic following the departure of His Excellency the President, Dr Ernest Bai Koroma for Cote d’Ivoire and the Republic of The Gambia. The Vice President is also out of the country.
The oath was administered by the Secretary to the President Emmanuel B. Osho Coker in the presence of the Chief Justice Abdulai Charm.
Present at the swearing in ceremony were the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah, Clerk of Parliament, Majority Leader Hon. Leonard Fofanah, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Ben Kargbo, Hon. Ansu Kaikai and host of other members of parliament.
