TWO BIG EVENTS THAT MAY YET AFFECT SIERRA LEONE’S FUTURE HAPPENED YESTERDAY
Two very important things happened in Sierra Leone yesterday.
The Jimmy Carter Elections Observer team released its final report and demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that Maada Bio did not win the 2023 elections and is therefore an illegal President.

Then, ECOWAS sent the Presidents of Senegal and Ghana to Sierra Leone to hold closed door meetings with Bio and former President Ernest Koroma. The fact that the team also held a closed door meeting with Ernest Koroma shows that ECOWAS has started doubting the SLPP narrative about the alleged coup attempt and the organization is displeased with the witch hunt on EBK and Northerners in Sierra Leone.
If ECOWAS believed there was a real coup attempt and that EBK was behind it as SLPP are alleging, they would not have held closed door meetings with a coup suspect because ECOWAS is against coups .
Secondly, with investigations still on, it would have amounted to obstruction of justice to have held a private meeting with EBK.
THERE IS SOMETHING THAT THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY KNOWS THAT MANY SLEEPING SIERRA LEONEANS DO NOT KNOW AND YESTERDAY’S CLOSED DOOR MEETINGS HIGHLIGHTED THIS FACT.
The SLPP Press statement on the ECOWAS visit is of course misleading as you must expect.
The good news is ECOWAisis becom8ng wise about Sierra Leone and is no longer in support of many of the undemocratic practices of the Bio government and its witch hunt against Ernest Koroma and Northerners . Bio will definitely reach his Waterloo.
The coming of the ECOWAS security mission , it has been learnt, is to also protect Northerners from Bio’s bloodshed and witch hunts. It is not just to help stabilize the country. Bio will not be able to continue his undemocratic behavior and killings of innocent people.
Also, the fact that the International Criminal Court left all the other countries elected to the UN Security Council and invited only Maada Bio to a meeting at the margins of the last UN General Assembly speaks volumes , never mind the conflicting press statements on the event. Bio will be brought to justice whenever power leaves him.
The Carter Centre final report yesterday added to many proofs already demonstrated by other international elections observers and the National Elections Watch ( NEW ) of Sierra Leone that Maada Bio did not win the 2023 elections and is therefore an illegitimate President.
