Dr. Sylvester Nwokedi  passed away on Wednesday August 25, 2010  in California, USA. Dr. Nwokedi , according to the preliminary reports, died of  Pulmonary Edema after suffering a sudden attack while at home with his family. Paramedics summoned to the scene made desperate efforts to save his life but to no avail.

The late doctor’s death was a blow to Sierra Leoneans and Nigerians living in America. Many of them say that Dr.Nwokedi, like his wife, was a humanitarian and philanthropist .This year, he went to Sierra Leone to explore the possibilities of investing in projects that would have benefitted the poor . His wife, Mrs. Timbo-Nwokedi , has been one of the biggest contributors to efforts by the present government to improve health care delivery in Sierra Leone. Once or twice a year during the past four years, she had been sending containers of medical equipment and other supplies which were distributed throughout hospitals and health care centres throughout the country.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.
