Alfred Peter Conteh humiliated in court for his dictatorial attitudes

Peter Conteh Found Guilty of Contempt, Fined or Face 30 Days in Jail as APC Party Wins Battle

By Abu Shaw in London (24/11/2022)

Buffoon Alfred Peter Conteh has been found guilty of contempt of court and fined 50 million Leones or alternatively he could face 30 days imprisonment.

This judgment was made public yesterday by Judge Adrian Fisher in a jam-packed court room in Freetown where the long awaited decision to ascertain who is wrong and who is right between the complainant APC party and the defendant Peter Conteh. The APC party led by the complainant lawyer Alpha Jalloh brought this matter of contempt to Judge Fisher’s court after countless violations by Peter Conteh in flagrant show of disobedience to the Fisher ruling on April 28, 2022. Yesterday’s judgment clearly indicated that Peter Conteh was guilty of the contempt charges against him. (Photo: Justice Fisher did the right things yesterday).

A catalogue of mishap was implemented by the desperate Peter Conteh and paramount among his blunders include his unilateral sacking of the Interim Secretary General Abdul Kargbo, a man who had continuously blocked and strangulate Peter Conteh’s insatiable desires to violate Justice Fisher’s ruling. Political observers believe Peter Conteh had no mandate to dismiss Abdul Kargbo, the APC fearless parliamentarian who was selected by the APC Parliamentary leader Chernor Maju Bah aka Chericoco. It was laughable to say the least when the dictator Peter Conteh decided to sack Abdul Kargbo as well as went on to singularly appoint many party officers around the country to represent the APC.

According to Judge Fisher, who is widely believed to an agent of President Julius Maada Bio, he surprisingly made it succinct that Alfred Peter Conteh is in breach of court orders laid down by the Adrian Fisher judgement of April 28, 2022. In simple terms, Judge Fisher noted that Peter Conteh is guilty of contempt of the orders of the court. Immediately after the ruling, the APC Grassroots supporters felt elated as well as the hierarchy and the wider membership who finally breathed a sigh of relief after the verdict yesterday. Justice Fisher noted: “On the issue of unresolved membership issue, I did order for it at the emergency delegate conference and they failed. ……I ordered for unresolved membership which are required to be done through a convention to be done at the next national delegates conference and inclusion in its agenda…and it contemptuous of this court. Nowhere did I say in my judgment the chairman of the Interim Committee must receive donations on behalf of the party. A committee of five is to be formed within the IGTC by simple majority to resolve membership issues.

“Peter Conteh has no power to unilaterally reinstate Alhaji Sam Sumana of the C4C party. Simply forming a quorum will not constitute what the court envisages. That’s why I did not prescribe a quorum. A decision of the IGTC will only be valid where all the members voted and a majority of that members constitute the decision of the IGTC. Members that ought to be reinstated by convention ought to be reinstated through a convention and therefore the chairman acted beyond his powers to admit such people. The chairman of the IGTC has no powers to appoint executive members to act in regions. They are not NAC to form such bodies. He has no such authority to appoint interim chairmen.

“The decision to appoint interim chairmen is illegal. The chairman Peter Conteh acted illegally and it’s therefore null and void. Members that ought to be reinstated by convention ought to be reinstated through a convention and therefore the chairman acted beyond his powers to admit such people. The press release of 4TH August by Peter CONTEH cannot stand and all Issues stated there in is void the press release reinstating members. A committee of five is to be formed within the IGTC by simple majority to resolve membership issue…and it contemptuous of this court.

“Nowhere did I say in my judgment the chairman must receive donations on behalf of the party. In the circumstances in light of the appointment of the TIEMC this court will give orders as to its composition. The IGTC Shall appoint the members of the TIEMC subject to the orders I give. I find the plaintiff contemnor is in contempt of the orders of this court as he has distorted many things I did not order,” the ruling noted. APC Grassroots member said: “Peter Conteh’s arrogance was overwhelming, and this was because he had too many selfish folks supporting him. Now the party should look to get rid of him! Sam Sumana has finally lost the APC flagbearer race. Congratulations in advance to Dr Samura Kamara. He is the soon to be confirmed flagbearer of the APC party.”
