THE SATELLITE NEWSPAPER REPORTS ON THE RESOLUTION OF THE CONFLICT.

The defiant splinter group of the main opposition All Peoples Congress party, (APC) called the National Reformation Movement (NRM) has finally bent over backwards and withdrawn its lawsuit against the party.

On Friday 19th February, 2021, the plaintiffs (NRM) who succumbed to pressures from party stratum have through their legal firm, Gevao & Associates, filed a Notice of Discontinuance to the High Court to have the matter withdrawn.

Prior to NRM’s request to the Court, the presiding judge was supposed to have decided the party’s fate as he was to deliver ruling on whether the hearing of the matter should commence or not.

This means, the plaintiffs have discontinued their action against the three respondents namely, the party Chairman and Leader Ernest Bai Koroma, the Secretary General Ambassador Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh and the party.

The new spiral in the NRM matter comes after the party hierarchy including the Chairman and Leader, Ernest Bai Koroma agreed to address certain clauses including the retention of the election clause in the party’s revised Constitution which they termed as obnoxious.

The constitutional controversies that left the party almost divided has laid a clear roadmap for the development of party, if adopted.

The out of court settlement requested for by the plaintiff of the matter against the APC party will now give clearance for the actualization of the APC party calendar for the elections of executives from lower level to national including Presidential candidate starting with Emergency National Delegates Conference for the adoption of the party new constitution.

Recently, NRM dissociated itself from Alfred P. Conteh, a current member of the APC-NJ Chapter who filed lawsuit against the party Chairman and Leader, the National Secretary General and the APC.

The Movement actualized its recent commitment to resolve the matter amicably before the next adjourned date as they are strongly averse to any nefarious and cynical that has the tendency to undermine the successes of the reformation crusade and the APC party at large.

This press has been reliably informed that the APC NJ Chapter has succeeded to persuade Alfred P. Conteh to also withdraw his matter in the interest of the party.

Following the application by NRM to withdraw the court matter between NRM and APC,
NRM and APC will hold a joint Press Conference at the party’s Head quater on Monday 22nd Feb., @ 2p.
Media houses are respectfully and NACOVACly invited.
