APC Party Conference Expected Today Despite President Bio’s Hanky Panky Injunction Games

The Sierra Leone judicial system under the failed ruling SLPP government of President Julius Maada Bio is the most incompetent state institution today.

One of the most judicially maligned Sierra Leone institutions today is the main opposition APC political party which is expected to start its National Delegate Conference NDC in Makeni this morning. But President Bio’s overtly corrupt judiciary and traitorous surrogates are hell-bent on stopping the APC from holding its NDC thereby undermining the democratic process in Sierra Leone. Ordinary Sierra Leoneans and political parties are facing daily victimisation from government institutions and from the well-to-do because of the ineptitude and corrupt judiciary in the country. The misuse of the judicial system and blatant abuse of the rule of law by the ruling SLPP administration has been going on in the last four and half years of President Bio’s failed government. The adjudication of justice and fair play expected in a democracy is a far-fetched dream in Sierra Leone nowadays. (Photo: APC on the move today).

No wonder, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission TRC Report in the 90s comes to mind that accused the Sierra Leone Judiciary of being one of the main causes of the eleven years of bloody civil war in Sierra Leone. The most victimised institution in the country today is apparently the main opposition APC party, the only political party that has the energy and quality to remove President Bio from power by democratic means. Nevertheless, since 2018 when President Bio came to power, the SLPP regime had bastardised the judiciary so much that the main opposition APC party has been stopped from conducting its internal affairs normally without any justification. Now, after using and misusing the corrupt Chief Justice Desmond Babatunde Edwards and other inept Judges, including the few traitorous APC members in their quest to continue passing illegal injunctions on the APC party since 2018, the APC is stagnated again in the eleventh hour of the June 24, 2023 elections. But this around, the vigilance and confident APC party is determined to go ahead with the Delegate Conference today with or without intimidation or harassment. Yesterday, the corrupt SLPP judiciary started fighting itself after one stupid SLPP Judge called Hannah Bonnie filed an injunction to stop the APC party from holding its National Delegates Conference starting today February 17, to the 19th of February 2023. The APC party has however decided to go ahead with the Delegates Conference in conformity with Justice Adrian Fisher’s directive at the High Court. Judge Fisher made it clear last month that serious consequences will occur if the APC failed to complete its Lower Level Elections by February 25, 2023. Now, another High Court Judge Hannah Bonnie has decided to counter Judge Adrian Fisher’s ruling to further confuse and disgrace the Bio judiciary.

As the two contradictory rulings by the SLPP government Judges continue, the APC hierarchy is way ahead to conduct the NDC today commencing this morning in Makeni. Consequently, the APC party through its indefatigable Interim Secretary General Abdul Kargbo has advised all supporters and members to alight at Makeni for the conference in peace and vigilance. Thousands of APC members and supporters are already in Makeni for the historic National Delegate Conference where officials of the APC party would be elected by delegates as well as elect the presidential candidate and flag-bearer of the party. However, the APC traitors and SLPP government agents are hell-bent on stopping the APC conference simply because of satisfying their paymaster President Bio. And also the Bio presidency does not want the people’s choice Dr Samura Kamara to be elected for the June 24, 2023 elections. (Photos: President Bio is scared of Dr Samura Kamara, right).

APC Grassroots supporters say their beloved APC party cannot afford to stop the NDC today as time is not on their side. Even the international community is perturbed that the main opposition APC party is been frustrated by the manipulated judiciary to hold its National Delegate Conference in preparation for the crucial June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections. Diplomatic sources say the British High Commissioner Lisa Chesney and others held a close door meeting yesterday with Chief Justice Babatunde Edwards, Attorney General, and Minister of Justice Mohamed Lamin Tarawally, etc. to warn them that the APC party conference must go on today. But bad Sierra Leoneans are not happy that the UK intervention was meant to protect democracy in the country.

APC parliamentary and fearless APC Interim Secretary General Hon Abdul Kargbo has given confidence to all true APC members to converge today in Makeni for the NDC. Supporters believe the purported, questionable High Court injunction by Justice Hannah Bonnie restraining the IGTC of the APC party from holding its National Delegate Conference is wrong. The SLPP government of President Bio is trying to kill democracy at all costs. Citizens say Sierra Leone has become the Babana Republic where there is no respect for the rule of law and the principles of democracy. “There is a total personalisation of power and state captured under the current regime,” noted Ibrahim Foday Sesay aka the Political Freedom Fighter.
