In a meeting chaired by former Minister, Balogun Logus Koroma, the National Organizing Secretary of The All People Congress Party, Comrade Bai Mamoud Bangura has set up a committee that is tasked with the responsibility of monitoring all aspects of the June 24th 2023 elections.

Speaking to the August gathering, comrade Bai Mamoud explains to attendees that in his wisdom and the advice of other senior comrades, they have put together a committee of elections monitors who have a wealth of experience in the conduct of elections.

He furthered that the said committee was chosen carefully taking into consideration factors that have to do with their participation in electioneering processes.

The committee is a mix of former ministers, departmental heads, ex-servicemen and other active organs of the party, including but not limited to Students Unions, Youth Leagues, women’s congress, and members of Parliament, to name a few.

In setting up this committee, a few issues regarding the coming elections were taken into consideration. Since there had been a series of anomalies by the Electoral Commission Of Sierra Leone, it is in the best interest of the party to put up measures that will address some of those anomalies and ensure a victory for the party come June 2023.

According to Dr Richard Conteh, he assures the gathering that the party has put modalities in place to ensure every centre has representatives that are seasoned politicians to serve as supervisors. According to him, the party will be recruiting 24,000 party agents and another 3,650 elections supervisors. He further assures those who will be volunteered for this process that this time around it will not be the usual *”baboo woke, monkey eat”*, but the party will ensure to pay back all those who sacrifice their time and effort towards the victory of the party.

Madam Nannet encourages women to step up. She assures them that this is the time for APC women to take over and ensure victory for the party come June 24th. She pleaded with them to work for the sake of the party and to ensure women take the lead this time.

Comrade, Bai Mamoud again encourages members to hold firm and believe in the leadership of the party for an assured victory. He is of the firm conviction that the APC party has the numbers to win any elections in this country, but the strategies that will be put in place are of the essence.

The meeting was attended by a cross-section of Former ministers and other senior members of the party in the likes of Dr Richard Conteh, Balogun Logus Koroma, Dr Sam Sesay, Amb Bockarie Stevens, Madam Nannet, National Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya, National Organizing Secretary Hon. Bai Mamoud Bangura, Hon. Abdul Kargbo to name a few. The meeting was well attended by comrades drawn from across the country.
