Justice for the Sierra Leonean people will come, however long it takes

Here is Lahai Lawrence Leema in pensive mood as if the world has turned its back on him. How well he deserves to be. We learn that he has been marginalized and sidelined by his own SLPP Government.

THE EVIL THAT MEN DO LIVES AFTER THEM. THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT HAS NOT EVEN COME YET.

Lahai Lawrence Leema is Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the ruling SLPP Government of Sierra Leone. But that is not the important matter about him. What is important is that  countless allegations have been made against him by the public about politically-motivated and extrajudicial killings he has carried out since the vengeful SLPP  came to power.

After last year’s August 10 people’s demonstrations, which got ugly after security forces opened fire on protesters, and nearly 100 people lost their lives, Leema was accused of going out during curfew hours at night to abduct suspects from their homes and secretly killing and burying them in undisclosed locations.

The August 10 judiciary inquiry into the demonstrations invited Leema to go address the allegations. With impunity, he refused to attend the  Investigation Committee when called to do so to answer to allegations of night-time secret extrajudicial killings . The committee said in its final report that Leema refused to attend. And he gave no explanation why he refused to attend the judiciary hearings.

We  also heard that he went to blows with Hon. Mohamed Rado Swaray, the Minister of Information, in front of President Bio during a meeting where colleague ministers cautioned him against his notorious incendiary statements ,  violence and refusal to respond to the request of the August 10 Committee to go and address allegations of night-time extrajudicial killings.

Lahai Leema thinks he is above the law . He may well be under this lawless, human rights-abusing SLPP Government, but Leema needs to be advised that people who commit the crimes he has been accused of ultimately face justice , especially from the international community, when governments change hands.

LAHAI LAWRENCE LEEMA IS BEING SIDELINED BY HIS OWN GOVERNMENT AND HE IS NOT HAPPY
Leema must never forget that the international community is recording everything happening in Sierra Leone and in good time, they do act. We will post below an article about how the U.S. arrested a former member of the military junta in Liberia in the 1980s , all because he was part of a government that committed the same crimes Leema has been accused of perpetrating.
