Landslide win for APC in Koinadugu, despite thuggery and rigging

Landslide Win for APC in Koinadugu Despite SLPP Govt’s Rigging, Thuggery and Splashing of Money

The main opposition APC party is celebrating a historic landslide victory in the Koinadugu District Bye-Elections yesterday despite SLPP’s hanky-panky.

Amid the ruling SLPP government’s thuggery and splashing of billions of Leones of stolen public money to buy votes, the suffering people of Koinadugu came out en-masse yesterday to vote for the APC candidates in the Chairmanship and Councillor positions. “Money will neither buy our votes nor our birthrights,” some market women who were heavily bribed by the SLPP agents made it clear. Speaking last night to the Organiser newspaper, two petty traders who received five million Leones each from the SLPP agents to vote for the SLPP candidates in Kabala disclosed that the SLPP government wanted to buy their votes despite the countless hardships in the country today due to President Julius Maada Bio’s incompetence, rampant corruption and glaring human rights violations etc against “our people in the north”.

As the vigilant APC party agents started monitoring the precious votes cast yesterday, and as the early results started coming in after the initial counting of the ballots, it soon dawned on the SLPP party that the APC party is heading for a landslide. Even though some of the useless SLPP Media outlets jumped the gun by prematurely declaring victory in Snap Polls, it did not take long for these miscreants SLPP Media PRs to hide under the palm tree when the results started filtering in the APC party’s favour. It was jubilation all around in Koinadugu and even beyond after the people of Koinadugu had spoken loud and clear. Preliminary results have put the APC party over 70 per cent of the votes while the failed ruling SLPP party are languishing at a miserable 25 per cent. The latest reports coming from the SLPP camp say the irate SLPP supporters have blamed the National Electoral Commission NEC connivers for the massive loss in Koinadugu District.

Sources have indicated that the SLPP candidate Alhaji Sheku Koroma was even beaten in his own home town by APC candidate Lawrence Teteh Kargbo. Hear one happy APC commentator: “The community where the SLPP candidate resides was also won by our APC candidate. The SLPP was bitten so badly. At the moment, the APC has netted 71 per cent whilst the SLPP has a mere 25 per cent so far collated in our Data Base System Room. This is just a sign for the 2023 elections.” As the people wait for the NEC to officially declare the results, below are some of the preliminary results collated by the APC camps –
