MRS. ISATU TIMBO- NWOKEDI IS WOMAN OF THE YEAR 2023 , AS SHE BAGS A DOUBLE GLORIOUS WHAMMY OF AWARDS

Sierra Leone’s most notable Goodwill Ambassador and Honorary Consul to Los Angeles, California , Mrs. Isatu Isha Timbo- Nwokedi , will score yet another big achievement on Saturday March 25, 2023 .
Mrs. Timbo – Nwokedi will receive another award in what has been a most epic and distinguished career of a philanthropist and a bulwark of community enabler and developer .
The much- celebrated Goodwill Ambassador and Honorary Consul , who has constructed a school and is completing a hospital in Sierra Leone, has been declared THE WOMAN OF THE YEAR 2023 and will be given an award for that distinction at Silver Spring , Maryland , USA by a popular international organization known as I AM A WOMAN , which was founded and is headed by one of Sierra Leone’s leading evangelists and gospel singers , Mrs. Rebecca Arthur Wright of Britain, another woman of substance in her own right.
Mrs. Rebecca Arthur Wright has traveled to the United States to lead the conferment of the award on Mrs. Timbo- Nwokedi on Saturday . She was full of praise for Mrs. Timbo – Nwokedi when she spoke to COCORIOKO at the weekend.
According to Mrs. Wright, the organization is devoted to inspiring, motivating and developing the personal and professional lives of women . She said that Mrs. Timbo – Nwokedi has been declared WOMAN OF THE YEAR 2023 and given the award because of her outstanding record of philantrophism and helping to develop not only Sierra Leone but her environment .
It should be noted that apart from sending medical equipment and medicines to help equip hospitals and health centers in Sierra Leone, Mrs. Timbo-Nwokedi has been at the centre of humanitarian enterprises whenever the country was hit by disasters , especially the Ebola, mudslide and the Corona Virus pandemic . She is apolitical ( That is, she does not belong to any political party and all her work is devoted to helping her nation as a true patriot of the land ) .
She started her development crusade in the early 2000s during the reign of President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah and has continued it through the tenures of Presidents Ernest Koroma and Julius Maada Bio. “ I love my Country and want to help her and that is why I have spread my philantrophic and humanitarian assistance throughout the different regions of the country “, she stated .
Saturday’s colorful award ceremony will be held at the City of Light Centre , Silver Spring , Maryland and Mrs. Rebecca Arthur Wright told Cocorioko that she has invited national panelists and international speakers to the event.
Just few weeks ago, Mrs. Timbo- Nwokedi received a distinct recognition from the City of Los Angeles and the State of California with another award for her “tireless work “ in promoting the diplomatic relations between the United States and Sierra Leone. She is the first ever African to be accorded that honor by the State of California .
