It was all gloves off at Tonkolili this weekend as the APC prospective presidential flagbearer , Dr. Samura Kamara and supporters decided to take things into their own hands.
The pro-government Sierra Leone Police and Military mounted a big blockade to stop Samura Kamara and supporters from entering Constituency 056 to campaign for the forthcoming bye-elections. Continuing their pattern of intimidation and brutality against the opposition since President Maada Bio came to power in 2018, the armed forces also brutalized and injured many supporters of the APC in the affray.
But after a very lenthy and contentious standoff, Dr. Samura Kamara and convoy decided to defy the SLPP-motivated police and army and buldozed their way past them into the constituency to campaign.

Ooh!!! Yes!! The Bio regime (SLPP) tried hardest to intimidate us, deployed snipers, used trucks, the military, OSDs and the police force to stifle democracy in constituency 056. But hell no, Strong Man Dr Samura Kamara entered and exited constituency 056.
